Norwich for Jobs work experience provides confidence boost for Scott

When Norwich for Jobs started working with 23 year old Scott, he was claiming Employment Support Allowance and was low on confidence when it came to work.  Scott says:

“I decided to start work experience in February after attending an information session.  During this period of work experience I made full use of other opportunities on offer via Norwich for Jobs and attended a CV and interview advice session and a work taster with local Norwich for Jobs employers.

CV and interview advice session leads to trainee accountant position

When he came to Norwich for Jobs, Neil was a young graduate, aged 24, who was in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance.  He was ideally looking for work in finance or accounting. 

Norwich for Jobs invited Neil to attend a CV & interview advice session which was delivered by a local Norwich for Jobs employer.  They provided Neil with advice about his CV and interview techniques. 

Norwich for Jobs partners help Matthew get into retail with M&S

Matthew who has Aspergers, received various support from his Work Coach.  He was referred to the Norwich for Jobs Monday Support Club to get additional one-to-one support and help with his communication skills, social engagement and confidence. 

Matthew participated in various activities including a MIND Mental Health workshop and one-to-one support, the Community Garden project (which Norwich for Jobs set up with Norwich City Council support).
